I have been reluctant to post about our current status because I want to tell you that we are DTC or LID, but we're close. Our I-797 should be at the Chinese Consulate today for authentication. Please pray that it comes back soon. We are hoping to have it back early next week as our agency sends off Dossiers to China on Fridays. I know that the last time we sent 12 documents we had them back in a week, and this is only 1 document, so we are hopeful. If not, we know that everything will happen in God's timing. I am really starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel. We started this journey back in August of 2010, and to have all the initial paperwork complete will be a welcome feeling. Please continue to pray for God's provision as we are now saving for travel, which some of you know can be the most expensive part.
In His service,
Brian
Our journey in faith to adopt this little boy Josiah from China
Josiah, or Yang Heng Hai, was an orphan from China who is a wonderful, patient, sweet, and ingenious little boy who was in need of a family. We felt the Lord calling us to bring this beautiful child into our family, and He provided beautifully. Some people would call Josiah a special needs child. Others, a child with special needs. To us he is just special. Josiah was born without the use of either of his arms and had 2 club feet. However, Josiah has been able to overcome these things and do many amazing things.
Brian, I didn't realize that both our families started our adoption journey's around the same time! I am joining you in prayer for this Friday's deadline!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my blog. It is nice to hear of other people who have also been touched by our Levi's story. I was so excited when I heard that Josiah had a family. God is definitely blessing both of our families.
