Our journey in faith to adopt this little boy Josiah from China

Josiah, or Yang Heng Hai, was an orphan from China who is a wonderful, patient, sweet, and ingenious little boy who was in need of a family. We felt the Lord calling us to bring this beautiful child into our family, and He provided beautifully. Some people would call Josiah a special needs child. Others, a child with special needs. To us he is just special. Josiah was born without the use of either of his arms and had 2 club feet. However, Josiah has been able to overcome these things and do many amazing things.

Waiting...

I have a feeling that "Waiting..." is going to be the title of many more of our posts to this blog. We had our fingerprinting done for our background checks and have mailed them to our adoption agency along with all the paperwork we have initially received. So now we are waiting to hear back as to whether or not all our paperwork is approved. The longest thing, however, may be our background checks. Those can take 10-12 weeks and we will not be able to begin our home study until the background checks come back. Please pray for us to have patience to wait upon God's perfect timing.
