As some of you may know, Josiah had surgery to repair his club feet and to put his hip back in the socket on his left side. I would be lying if I didn't say it was a little rough on all of us, without being able to use his arms and with his feet in casts since February 22, 2012 Josiah couldn't do anything. We were his only source of entertainment. He watched a lot of TV and every week I took him down to the Mississippi River, only a mile or so from our house. On June 1st Josiah had his big hip spica cast taken off. He couldn't use his left leg at all and had very little strength in his right leg. However, day by day he has been getting stronger and stronger. He started physical therapy late June and has been able to stand up by himself for about a minute or so. We have so much to tell, but below are a few pictures of Josiah with his casts on, Rachel did the artwork.
Our journey in faith to adopt this little boy Josiah from China
Josiah, or Yang Heng Hai, was an orphan from China who is a wonderful, patient, sweet, and ingenious little boy who was in need of a family. We felt the Lord calling us to bring this beautiful child into our family, and He provided beautifully. Some people would call Josiah a special needs child. Others, a child with special needs. To us he is just special. Josiah was born without the use of either of his arms and had 2 club feet. However, Josiah has been able to overcome these things and do many amazing things.

This has made my day!!!

Thanks for sharing an update on Josiah! Love the last pic of him standing! Looking forward to hearing more and seeing more pics! We came home in May with our son, Daniel, from China and we had a chance to visit Harmony House. We are vicky's sponsor now.
